riding up the chair lift looking at the colours of the forest and feeling the cool bite of the breeze i was fully in the moment of fall. i heard the people i was sharing the ride up with talking and the chairline clicking but for some reason it was like a dream and the only thing i felt in touch with was the breeze. i ended the ride up and sat on my bike and it headed toward the trail. my legs spinning faster than normal and my brain going very slow yet fully aware. this whole day the bike, the trail and i where one. a feeling i haven't felt in a very long time. at battle with my mind over meaningless situations in life or against a clock and competitive pressures can take the real reason to ride out of the ride. i know some of you have experienced this and to those who haven't yet, i wish it upon you. have a great day.
